Our History
Hello! We're Nuno and Zézinha, and we want to tell you the story of Adega das Vinhas Novas—a family dream that grew over time, with love, patience… and with many hearts involved.
It all began way back in the 1960s, when Nuno's grandfather, Celestino, decided to plant the first grapevine on this land he loved so much. It was the first step toward something much bigger. Later, it was Nuno's father, Zé, who took that dream on with both hands—and, with the help of lifelong friends, continued planting, caring, and believing.
Now it's our turn. We are the ones who carry this dream forward, with our children by our side, with our family always present, and with that enormous desire to share with you everything this story means to us.
For us, making wine is much more than a craft—it's a gesture of love. Each bottle of our wine carries with it the care with which we hand-harvest the grapes, the laughter of the harvest, the smell of wet earth, the memories we hold in our hearts, and the pride in keeping alive a tradition that spans generations.
This is the spirit that drives us: celebrating family, honoring our roots, and toasting to life—with a wine made with soul, to be shared around the table, as we so love to do.
